Barclays – Commended 2018, Cityparents Best for Innovation Award

Managers coaching peers on ways to manage Dynamic Working discussions and requests was crucial in embedding more agile and flexible ways of working within Barclays.

In these clinics, the managers running the session for other managers talk about Dynamic Working in a collegiate environment. They share why they believe in Dynamic Working, the benefits, the challenges, how they have said no to a request where it did not work for the business or worked with the colleague to identify alternate options. This peer learning offers a ‘safe’ learning environment and discusses any concerns.

So far, more than 4,000 line managers have attended, 98 per cent would recommend the clinic to a peer and 71 per cent say that as a result of the clinic, they’d consider flexible working within their team.
