About the Event
The world of work is changing. Employees are increasingly looking for greater flexibility in order to balance home life and work life. Forward thinking organisations are using family friendly policies and practices as a tool to ensure a healthy bottom line and to recruit and retain the best talent. The first in a series of Business Futures events, this free half day event will take a wide look at creating a family friendly working culture – the benefits for employers and employees.
Our keynote speaker Brendan Dick, Director BT Scotland, will consider the business benefits of creating a productive family friendly workplace culture. Delegates will have the opportunity to select and attend a good practice workshop and hear from experts about how their organisations have embedded family friendly working and the positive impact this has had. These practical and relevant workshops will touch on numerous relevant themes including; the increasing number of carers in today’s multigenerational workforce, the changing role of fathers in the workforce, supporting working parents and using family friendly policies to recruit the best talent into your organisation. There will also be plenty of opportunity for collaboration and networking to share skills on how to build a family friendly working culture.
