We are delighted to confirm that Dame Helena Morrissey DBE will present the Keynote Address at the Working Families’ Annual Conference

Why attend?
In this, the centenary year of women’s suffrage, there is still a lot of work to do to achieve a level playing field for women so we’ll be asking how employers are going to make a step change that leads to real results on gender equality. And we’ll be looking at the learning for employers from the results of the Modern Families Index research, which finds increasing evidence of a parenthood penalty, as fathers and mothers try to navigate flexible and family friendly policies within organisational cultures where traditional gender assumptions about who works and who cares are still present; nearly 1 in 5 mothers and fathers report having deliberately stalled their careers for family reasons.
