Roundtable event: Flexible Leave – Supporting Parents and Carers beyond parental leave
9th February 2026 | 11am to 12pm

We recognise that maternity and partner leave are hugely important. However, they represent just one part of the support parents and carers need. When maternity leave, partner leave or equal parental leave ends, caring responsibilities do not neatly align with a work calendar. In the early years after returning from new parent leave, nursery illnesses and childcare disruptions are a regular challenge. Beyond those early years, there are countless reasons working parents and carers may need time away from work – from supporting a child through exams to caring for a grandchild or another dependent.
Flexible leave is not a “nice to have”, but a “need to have”. Increasingly, employers are recognising the value of more flexible leave arrangements in supporting colleagues through the many stages of life.
At this event, we will explore the benefits of introducing flexible leave and hear from employers who have recently implemented such provisions, including Canada Life.
This event is for Working Families employer members only.
Spaces are limited to two per member organisation.
