Working Families Index 2023 Spotlight Report Webinar

Working Families Index Spotlight Report Webinar – Supporting working parents on lower incomes
With the cost-of-living crisis impacting so many, this year’s Working Families Index Spotlight Report will explore the experience of parents in lower-income households. The study looks at their access to flexible working and the specific challenges in combining work and care. Join us in our discussion with respected employers, including our official partner Pinsent Masons, on how best we can support staff during this especially difficult period.
This year’s report, based on a survey of over 2,000 parents, reveals that for many families on lower incomes, work simply isn’t working. We found that a significant number of working parents on lower incomes have been forced to forego promotions, reduce their hours, or even leave the workforce altogether because of difficulties accessing and affording childcare. This not only negatively impacts career progression, but also mental health and relationships.
Our webinar will explore these findings and more – looking particularly at how flexible working can help parents on lower incomes to thrive at work, and other actions employers can take to ensure their people are supported. We will also bring our data to life with real stories from the Working Families helpline.
