Two child limit for Tax Credits and Universal Credit from April 2017

The government have finalised the policy which will limit Child Tax Credit and Universal Credit if you have more than two children. It will only affect you if you have a third or subsequent child born on or after 6 April 2017.

There are some limited exceptions including adoptions, multiple births, teenage parents, kinship care and non-consensual conception.
