National Charity for Working Parents Recognise UK’s Top Family Friendly Employers
Published: 26 Jun 2025

Outstanding employers and family-friendly champions have been celebrated today as we announced the winners of the 2025 Best Practice Awards.
The annual awards, held at London’s Apothecaries’ Hall, celebrate a diverse array of family-friendly workplaces and forward-thinking employers, whose inclusive cultures and flexible working practices are setting new standards for employee-friendly workplaces.
There are nine categories in the awards, with winners ranging from large organisations, such as the Royal Air Force to SMEs like Ten2Two. For the second year running, individuals were also recognised in the Family-Friendly Champion of the Year category, sponsored by Arnold Clark.
The entries were judged by an expert panel, including Working Families Ambassador Becca Maberly, author and parenting expert, who was guest judge in the Best for Mothers category, sponsored by Umbrella HR.
Speaking about the awards, Becca said:
The message from all the finalists was clear – work and family life can be successfully balanced with a positive impact for families, business and wider workforce!
It is so uplifting to feel like real change is in motion and dare to hope that other employers will follow suit.
Jane van Zyl, Chief Executive of Working Families said:
Yet again, we have been blown away by the calibre of our finalists. Every single one is demonstrating how dynamic the future of work can be when we think outside the box and put people first.
The winners demonstrate that any organisation can build flexibility and family-friendly workplaces, regardless of size or sector. From small businesses and charitable societies to international banks and the armed forces, our winners show innovation, practicality and compassion.
I’d like to congratulate all the finalists for their dedication to being employers who aren’t afraid to do things differently and go the extra mile for their people and their business. Their inspiring family-friendly policies and supportive practices are helping transform the world of work for future generations so that everyone, from families to businesses, can reap the rewards.
