Working Families Annual Conference 2016: Building a multidimensional business case for embedded agile working
12th May 2016 | 10.00am (registration from 09.30) to 16.00 | Credit Suisse, One Cabot Square, London E14 4QJ
Flexible working has come a long way since it was first introduced by employers as a way of encouraging women to return from maternity leave and to enable them to balance work and home.
In many workplaces it now has a new name – agile, smart, dynamic, intelligent – and is no longer seen as something purely for parents and carers but as a way of working that increases organisational effectiveness and performance. However, embedding it across the organisation and ensuring consistency and fairness is a challenge for all employers who are bombarded with a wealth of reports, research and studies all purporting to provide the business case for making flexible ways of working ‘business as usual’.
At our annual conference, we will be hearing from leading speakers about how they have put flexible working into practice, including a key note address from Marjorie Strachan, Head of Inclusion at RBS: an organisation that has won a number of accolades for their approach to flexibility.
Conference attendees will be the first to hear about Working Families’ brand new guide to the key elements of the business case for flexible working. The guide will be launched at the event and highlights the key evidence you’ll need as you navigate your way round those elements of the business case that apply to your organisation.
