Managing through Covid – Insights from Parents who are Managers
23rd May 2022 | 11am to 12pm
Members only event
What can the pandemic experience of those with dual responsibility teach us about the challenges and opportunities of flexible working? Find out when you join us for a round table discussion, exclusively available to our employer members.
For those people who found themselves managing childcare as well as their managerial responsibilities, the pandemic presented a unique and significant challenge. But navigating such tricky circumstances revealed the potential for a more dynamic way of working that can help future-proof workplaces in times of crisis.
In partnership with Queen Mary University of London, Birkbeck University of London and Middlesex University, a research team explored the daily lives of 42 parents. Through in-depth interviews, fascinating insights were gained into the struggles and successes of those at the sharp end of reconciling responsibilities.
Join us as we share an analysis of the research findings, followed by a discussion into the subsequent recommendations and how they can be applied across industries and differing sizes of organisations. We encourage you to bring your experiences of managing flexible or hybrid working, sharing common issues that will help inform future decisions and support parents so that your organisation can leverage the benefits of successful flexible working.
Places are limited to one per member organisation.
