Yorkshire Building Society – Commended 2018, Best Flexible Working Intiative Award

Yorkshire Building Society launched its Finding the Balance (FTB) programme in May 2017, bringing together and updating policies on family friendly, flexible and agile ways of working.

Flexibility is a ‘day one’ right for all staff, who are actively encouraged to ‘work wherever you want’ if practical and desired.

Enhanced – Parental Leave has been taken up by 113 employees, while the number of women staying more than a year after maternity leave has increased from 77 per cent to 83 per cent.

Colleague surveys show a 10 per cent increase – to 78 per cent – in the number of employees who think the Group ‘looks positively at adopting flexible working’.
