Previse – 2019 Scottish Top Employers

At Previse the winning formula for a great working culture is rooted in diversity. They believe that employing people from many different walks of lives enriches the business and supports continued growth and success.

The beauty of being a smaller employer means that the team can design a schedule that works for them, meaning they don’t miss out on important things at home. They have unlimited holidays and have the freedom to work from any location due to the technological capabilities of the business. Basically, everything is up for discussion, and if they can find a way to make it work. They will. Simple.

Previse is also the first employer in Scotland to partner with Auticon, a social enterprise which specialises in finding employment for people with autism. They have created an environment where people with certain needs and characteristics feel comfortable and can flourish. The analytical nature of the services provided by Previse, presents an opportunity for some people with autism to use their unique skills, and this has enriched the team beyond even the highest expectations.

Winning insights:

  • Location neutral roles enabled by technology
  • Compressed and reduced working patterns
  • Collaborating to create working arrangements that suit the individual and the business
  • Support for carers
  • 97% staff retention rate
  • Launched a new development centre in Glasgow in 2018, creating 37 new flexible data science jobs
  • Flexible start and finish times

What their people say:

“The Previse working environment suits me, and because of its flexible working arrangements for all staff, I have not had to ask for any special adjustments. The Previse staff go out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. I enjoy the content of my work and the context in which I’m doing it. The application Previse is building is complex, but I feel well supported in learning about it by all of the team”.
