Pitney Bowes – Finalist 2020, Best for Flexible Working

Promoting flexible working as ‘the norm’ has helped technology firm Pitney Bowes retain employees with 77% indicating that it is important to them in a recent engagement survey. Productivity metrics are increasing because of a wide set of initiatives designed to elevate flexible working, one of which supports older employees so they can wind down working hours’ before retiring – freeing up budget to take on new apprentices.

All Pitney Bowes UK employees can work flexibly. Currently, two thirds (67%) choose to do so, up 11% in a year. The firm provides all employees with the necessary equipment and software to work remotely and line managers are given autonomy to agree arrangements with individuals quickly and easily.
