Centrica – Finalist 2020, Best for Carers and Eldercare

More than 1,000 Centrica employees have registered with HR for a Carer’s Passport, outlining their caring responsibilities, support required, including working arrangements. Carers can take up to six weeks’ paid carers’ leave a year and benefit from an active employee network offering peer support.  

These measures save approximately £1.8 million a year in unplanned absences and ‘presenteeism’ when people work while unwell or not fully performing.
