Flexible Working Consultation
Working Families’ research shows that 86% of working parents say that they would like to work flexibly but just under half (49%) do. We’ve long-called for a part-time and flexible by default approach to recruitment – to help widen the pool of roles parents can apply for, and to shift workplaces towards better job design.
The Government is currently consulting on how to increase the number of jobs advertised part-time and flexibly, as well as how to encourage employers to be more transparent about their flexible working and parental leave and pay policies.
We’d like as may parents as possible tell the Government what they think about its proposals. You can do this via their online form.
We’ve created a short response guide with an overview of Working Families’ views on the questions most relevant to parents. Taking part should take about 15 minutes, and the Government’s deadline is 11 October.
Take part now and have your say on the future of flexible working.
