London Roundtable Discussion: A duty to consider flexible working – your opportunity to feed into the government consultation
5th February 2019 | 10.30 to 12.00 - registration from 10.00 | Northern Trust, 50 Bank Street, Canary Wharf, London E14 5NT

FULLY BOOKED
Attend this members’ only interactive roundtable discussion where we will be discussing the challenges and benefits on the government’s consideration in creating a duty for every job role to be flexible.
The government announced in October that it will consider creating a duty for employers to consider whether a job can be done flexibly and if so, to make this clear when advertising. It will be consulting on how this might work imminently. Working Families will be part of this consultation process so we need to understand your views!
- What are the pros and cons of legislating around designing and advertising flexible roles?
- What level of government intervention do you think there should be?
- How could/should it work in practice?
We will be joined at this event by the key government policy makers involved and by employers who already design and advertise the majority of their roles as flexible. Most importantly we’ll be asking for your views and contributions on this topic so that we can help shape future legislation and ensure that work works for everyone!
Our Roundtable series of discussions give members the opportunity to discuss challenges and share solutions with peers, making these invaluable and thought-provoking sessions.
Spaces are limited to one place per organisation and allocated on a first come first served basis. Members – book your complimentary place today!
